-(16/Sept/2006): I just finished reading DC Comics' 1985 crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, for the first time since I was 12 or so. Read my comments on the series here.
-(22/Jun/2006): So my Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup the same year my Pittsburgh Steelers win the Superbowl. If the Totonto Blue Jays win the World Series this fall, my sports year of a lifetime will be complete. Plus, my head will explode. In other news, the Toronto Maple Leafs are still losers (actually, with ex-Carolina Hurricanes coach Paul Maurice at the helm, and ex-Carolina Hurricanes superstar Jeff O'Neill on the bench, the poor old Leafs might have a chance this year!).
-(15/Mar/2006): Want to know what's in my comic book collection? Check out box #1 here.
-(19/Dec/2005): I hope you've all seen The Chronicles of Narnia. Now that's what movies are all about.
-(17/July/2005): Charlie And The Chocolate Factory is a great movie. Go see it. That is all. End transmission.
-(11/July/2005): Here is a link to a great article about You Can't Do That On Television. If you don't know much about the show, it's a good primer, and if you do, a good refresher. Someone has got to put this show on DVD! I have 5 VHS bootleg tapes of varying quality I'd sure like to replace.
-(05/July/2005): Moving is the pits. What a hassle. I'll update soon...but not today.
-(21/June/2005): I don't update for a month, then twice in two days - go figure. Here's a link to a great internet radio station with almost no ads, and playing a great selection of 80s music: www.80sgrooves.com.
-(20/June/2005): I finally updated! Mark it on your calendar. Here's the promised review of Deformative Years, the newest Wild Strawberries offering. Also, For those of you who are interested in meteorology, here's a link to my Weather Underground blog, Blogging Up A Storm.
-(24/May/2005): Updated the Temple Of New Wave today. A real update of CICTAB? is coming, very soon (promise). Maybe this weekend. I'll have a review of the awesome new Wild Strawberries CD, Deformative Years.
-(13/April/2005): I heard a rumor that You Can't Do That On Television is going to be released on DVD soon (at least, Nickelodeon is thinking about it). This rumor is vicious and evil if untrue. Go to Amazon.com and vote for the DVD release of this Canadian classic TV show, to help rumor become fact. Do your part, dammit.
-(27/March/2005): Happy Easter, everyone!
-(20/March/2005): A question I sent to Stephen R. Donaldson (my favorite author) has been answered on his web page! It's in his Gradual Interview section, where fanboys like me can send him our queries. Click here and then scroll down to find my name. Is that cool or what?
-(18/March/2005): I don't seem to be missing NHL hockey nearly as much as I thought I would. Maybe that's because I'm a Carolina Hurricanes fan? Hey, The 'Canes are undefeated this season! Woo-hoo!!
-(17/March/2005): There, a spiffy new title and everything. Now to work on The Temple of New Wave. This March break stuff is great, I tells ya. Oh, due to comment spam, I had to delete and re-start the guestbook. I suppose I should take it as a compliment that, five years after I started this page, it finally gets some attention - from spammers.
-(15/March/2005): Yeah...it's
been awhile since I updated the site. Busy, busy, and all that.
Happy Saint Patrick's
day! I'll do a major update tomorrow (hopefully). Until then, head on over
to universalhoney.com, and
click on the "press" box. I'm really hitting the big time now!
-(22/October/2004): The new Duran Duran album is out! Go read my review...
-(10/August/2004): The Temple of New Wave has
been updated with the skinny on the
Halifax Falconhawk concert. I snagged an interview
with the band. Go check it out.
-(29/July/2004): I just realized that three of
my favorite bands are Canadian: Universal
Honey, Wild Strawberries, and The Pursuit Of
Happiness. I'd say these three acts make up for Celine Dion, Sarah Harmer,
and K.D. Lang. Or, all together, Nelly Furtado.
-(02/July/2004): My favorite band, Universal Honey, has a new CD out! Click here for my review.
